Abayas & kanduras
Sell abayas and kanduras in Dubai
Abayas, kanduras, shaylas, hijabs and jackets: modest wear is among the most requested clothing in the second-hand markets we supply, and pieces in good condition never sit long. We buy them at your door and pay cash by the kilo.
These are light garments, so they rarely make a load on their own. Sold together with the rest of the wardrobe they lift the total weight, and the whole load earns whatever tier the scale lands on.
Minimum 10 kg per pickup, all items combined
We buy
- Abayas, plain or embellished, intact
- Kanduras, clean and fresh
- Shaylas, hijabs and scarves
- Jalabiyas and modest dresses
- Farwas and winter jackets
Leave these out
- Stains that show, especially on white kanduras
- Torn seams or missing closures
- Heavy perfume or smoke odour
- Beading that is shedding or embroidery pulled loose
Clean, dry and wearable is the one rule. We check at the door before weighing, so anything torn, stained or broken stays out of the bag.
What does it weigh?
- An abaya≈ 0.5 kg
- A kandura≈ 0.4 kg
- A shayla or hijab≈ 0.1 kg
- A full rail of twenty pieces≈ 9 kg
A full rail of abayas and kanduras weighs less than it looks, so pair it with everyday clothes or linen in the same pickup to climb the ladder.
The same three rates as everything else
- 10–19 kgAED 1.50
- 20–60 kgAED 2.00
- Above 60 kgUp to AED 2.50
Everything goes on one scale, clothes and all, and the total weight picks the rate for the whole load.

Is embellished or embroidered fine?
Yes, as long as the work is intact. Embellished abayas are popular in the markets we supply; the only ones we leave are those shedding beads or with pulled embroidery, since they cannot be worn as they are.
Do white kanduras need to be spotless?
They need to be clean. White shows marks more than any other colour, and a kandura with visible staining cannot be resold, so give white pieces an honest look before they go in the bag.
How are abayas priced?
By weight, on the scale with everything else you are selling. We do not price per piece; the total kilos decide the rate for the whole load, up to AED 2.50 per kilo on the largest clear-outs.
Who wears them next?
Modest wear moves quickly through second-hand markets in the UAE and abroad. A well-kept abaya or kandura is one of the easiest garments to place with a new owner, which is exactly why we ask for good condition.
